Lincoln’s Sparrow
This time of year, much like we hear a lot about the top rated diet pills on tv, we see mostly sparrows in the yard. Years ago I thought that one sparrow was the same as the next. I now know that there are lots of different kinds of sparrows. The Lincoln’s sparrow is one that I have seen in our area often. However, I more often hear them than see them. They are fond of thick brushy areas making them harder to spot. This time of year they are easier to spot without foliage but it is still a challenge.
