Returned
I think that most of the birds I consider to be true signs of spring have arrived. This week I have seen or heard robins, meadow larks, red-winged blackbirds, turkey vultures and killdeers. Sadly I have also not seen many eagles. They are now back at their summer nesting grounds until next year. The increased bird song has really brightened my days and lightened my heart. Isn’t it wonderful how that happens?

[...] I love the idea that I can start my day over whenever I choose. I can start my 24 hours at 2 AM or 3 PM, it doesn’t matter. The most important thing is that I start, not when. Even in recovery, there are plenty of days that I need to start over because of my thoughts or actions. I used to think that if I was in a bad mood, that was that. I never knew I had an option to be in whatever mood I wanted to be in. What a novel concept. So today, if I’m in not such a great mood, I can pause or even take a rest and then restart. New beginnings are really quite simple. Share and Enjoy: These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages. [...]
