More Winter Weather
Saturday, February 6th, 2010As another winter storm pounds the northeast, be sure to remember to fill those feeders and bird baths. And don’t forget the suet! Suet is like an annuity. It carries birds along as they struggle with extreme winter conditions. It gives them extra energy to burn to stay warm and forage for food. There are all sorts of varieties that you can buy or you can make your own. You can also just offer them some peanut butter. That will do the trick, too. Suet cakes never seem to last long so you should stock up!
