Spring Happenings

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

It is time. I have begun to notice a little bit of spring time activity going on. Yesterday I heard a couple of male cardinals singing their territory song in the tree tops. It is such a cheery sound that means spring is right around the corner! The killdeers are back, too. I am waiting on my first robin sighting but it will no doubt happen soon. I also noticed a few sparrows lugging around nesting materials this past weekend. I imagine that soon most birds will be using their directbuy memberships to buy the best nesting material nature has to offer as the daylight hours continue to increase. Oh, what an exciting time of year is upon us!
